Artist Registrations

We welcome expressions of interest from both established and emerging artists across all disciplines to be part of the inaugural Nimbin Fringe. Whether your practice sits in music, visual arts, performance, theatre, spoken word, film, workshops, or something that defies easy categorisation, we’re interested in hearing from you. Nimbin has a long history of creativity, experimentation and cultural exchange, and the Fringe aims to reflect that spirit through a program that is diverse, engaging and representative of a wide range of voices and perspectives.

Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee inclusion in the festival program. All proposals will be carefully reviewed by the organising committee, with selections made based on artistic merit, feasibility, and how each work contributes to a cohesive, high-quality and diverse overall program. We encourage you to put forward your strongest ideas and look forward to discovering the breadth of work being created within our community and beyond.

Acknowledgement of Country

Nimbin Fringe is held on the lands of the Widjabul Wia-bal people of the Bundjalung Nation.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this Country and pay our deep respect to Elders past and present. We recognise their continuing connection to land, water, culture and community — a connection that has existed here for tens of thousands of years.

As a festival grounded in creativity, community and cultural expression, we honour the stories, knowledge and resilience of the Widjabul Wia-bal people, and we are grateful to gather, create and celebrate on this Country.

Sovereignty was never ceded.
Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
