A community-led festival

Nimbin Fringe is a grassroots, community-driven arts festival, created to celebrate the depth and diversity of creative practice in and around Nimbin and the Northern Rivers. The Fringe will feature live music, comedy, dance, circus, film, visual arts + more.

Poster Competition

The Nimbin Fringe is calling on artists, designers and visual storytellers to help shape the look of this year’s festival.

We’re inviting submissions for the official Nimbin Fringe Festival poster, inspired by the theme “There’s so much more to Nimbin.” Beyond the headlines and clichés, Nimbin is a place of creativity, resilience, humour, activism, art and deep community — and we want to see what that means to you.

The winning artwork will become a key part of the festival’s visual identity and will be shared across print, online and social platforms in the lead-up to the event.

What’s on offer

The selected artist will receive:

  • A double pass to the Nimbin Fringe Festival

  • The opportunity to exhibit their work as part of the festival program

Full Terms & Conditions apply.

Acknowledgement of Country

Nimbin Fringe is held on the lands of the Widjabul Wia-bal people of the Bundjalung Nation.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this Country and pay our deep respect to Elders past and present. We recognise their continuing connection to land, water, culture and community — a connection that has existed here for tens of thousands of years.

As a festival grounded in creativity, community and cultural expression, we honour the stories, knowledge and resilience of the Widjabul Wia-bal people, and we are grateful to gather, create and celebrate on this Country.

Sovereignty was never ceded.
Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
